Kamasi Washington

In May 2015, Kamasi Washington released The Epic, a three-disc, three-hour album that is one of the finest jazz albums of the decade. He has also collaborated with the likes of L.A. producer Flying Lotus and rapper Kendrick Lamar. With his own band and compositions, saxophonist Washington covers a huge amount of soulful, spiritual ground that takes in modal jazz, funk, soul and blues.
