No Home Movie is the final film from the enormously influential Belgian filmmaker Chantal Akerman. Throughout No Home Movie, Akerman probes the fading memories of her elderly, Auschwitz survivor mother Natalia, both in person and online, against the background of routine mundanities. In the final months of her mother's life, Akerman endeavours to capture the stories that will soon vanish for good. Tragically, having died in October 2015, this is also the last story that Akerman will tell.
Akerman's much-loved classic Jeanne Dielman.. is also screening as part of the 2016 Sydney Film Festival.
