Sydney Underground Film Festival

@ The Factory Theatre

$13 - $15 + bf (per film)

The Sydney Underground Film Festival is back in September 2015. Perhaps you find other film festivals a little bit too pedestrian? Then the SUFF is for you.

The SUFF celebrates "unique, quality independent films that transgress the status quo and challenge the conservative conventions of filmmaking. The festival is devoted to renewing local interest in independent and experimental film as part of an international underground film culture and aims to change an ingrained culture of cinematic complacency and revitalise an enthusiasm for cinema."

The program includes work from the likes of controversial Japanese filmmaker Takashi Miike, some subversive horror comedy from Finland in the form of Bunny the Killer Thing, a revisit of Russ Meyer's 1965 sexploitation classic Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!, and much, much more. Go to the SUFF website to see the full selection of films. There are feature films, short films, docos and masterclasses with some pretty significant luminaries in the film industry.

Get your fix of trash, dirty shock, horror and sex in September when the Sydney Underground Film Festival takes over Marrickville's Factory Theatre from September 17-20.
