Sydney’s northern beaches heads south as Dee Why Hotel’s beloved beast-of-a-burger ‘The Trufflenator’, pops up for one day only (and only for three hours!) at Woollahra’s The Light Brigade on Thursday 17th March!
The Trufflenator brings your everyday beef burger to a whole new level as it boasts an impressive variation of rare fungus to create truffle mayo, truffle butter, truffle infused provolone and truffle maple syrup, teamed with a succulent double Wagyu beef patty, crispy bacon, American cheddar and crunchy onion rings, all between a soft Japanese milk bun.
Dee Why Hotel Chef Brad Johnston explained: "I have sourced summer truffles from Italy, but as they are not as strong in flavour I use a mix of that with an Italian truffle paste, truffle infused oil and a 'white Alba truffle salt.' The first lot of Canberra truffles will start to roll out in May."
NOTE: The truffle fries will not be available on the day - only the burger.
