On 19 November unwind and find your inner zen at the Blue MountainsbYoga Festival , held in the mid-mountains township of Lawson.

Roll out that yoga mat and embrace a day of mindfulness, workshops, and seminars to replenish and nourish your soul in a welcoming community of like-minded folk.

The festival will take part at the Mid Mountain Community Centre, easily accessible by car or a 2-minute walk from Lawson Station.

Whether you're a regular yogi, curious to give a different style a go or maybe try it for the first time, the festival is inclusive of participants from all walks of life. It's an opportunity to learn more about various holistic practices and connect with others within the community.

Check out the full lineup here with over 12 practioners sharing their knowledge, skills and wisdom. Classes range from awakening yoga to yoga for mums, slow flow, yoga nidra and much more.

Fuel up on the delectable vegetarian and vegan cuisine from the locally based Bibi's Kitchen. Indulge your tastebuds with wholesome dishes of dahl, curries and pakoras, the perfect meal to compliment a day of comfort and self-care.

Why not make it a destination weekend?

Start by booking a stay at the recently renovated The Henry for a night (or two) and explore a range of local craft beers on tap and a wholesome feed of pub classics with a modern Aussie twist. And in the theme of a stress-free weekend, the hotel is located only a stone’s throw from the festival, so you can rise and walk to the event in minutes.

Follow the line of eagerly awaiting patrons seeking their morning brew and golden, buttery patisseries and you will find the famous Black Cockatoo Bakery. No visit is complete without biting into the crunchy, flakey layers of their signature croissants, pure perfection. Be sure to stock up on their artisan baked breads for the trip home too.

A few doors down from Black Cockatoo is White Fox Massage. It is a hidden gem offering a mix of massage therapies and wellness goods like locally made bath salts, candles and essential oils. Bookings are recommended due to its in-demand services of pure relaxation.

If you happen to pop up on the Saturday and fancy yourself as an early bird, check out Rust and Timber. A favourite amongst the locals, not only can you find a good cuppa here but why not pick up a bag of freshly roasted in-house beans and a few handcrafted chocolates for the road?

Add a bit of wilderness to your trip with a walk among the gum trees on the South Lawson Waterfall Loop. This is an easy track with a few stairs in and out, with a big reward as you circuit through a forest floor of waterfalls, towering native trees and misty ferns. Perfect for the whole family, even the four-legged members are allowed on this trek!

Stop dreaming and make your wellness weekend happen at The Blue Mountains Yoga Festival, the perfect excuse to escape the everyday, nourish your soul and give it that TLC it deserves.
