The main man Lamar Powell reckons that your cocktail shaking face is the face you make during sex. That put the pressure on when shaking it up during his Margarita Mixology Masterclass at Los Vida Crows Nest. Instead of my normal Saturday session I checked in upstairs at Los Vida for the afternoon in one of the most entertaining and interesting bar classes I've done.
We started with the equipment, learnt about the history of the spirit and cocktail, then learnt the technique.
Then after watching the knowledgeable Los Vida bar-tender it was our turn to get in behind the bar.

Round two and a bunch of ingredients were spread before us, with a $25 voucher up for grabs for the best new cocktail. Coconut raspberry chilli margarita anyone?
As well as shaking with your sex face you get to drink three cocktails and chow down on some of the famous Los Vida Mexican grub.
