The Full program for the sixth annual Sydney Craft Beer week has been revealed. Packed with a huge range of events its sure to wet the whistle of every beer lover. Taking place between Friday 21st to Sunday the 30th October, Sydney is set to showcase and celebrate all that is craft beer. You will find amongst those listed in the program everything from history lessons to master classes, Brewery tours to beer and food matching events. No matter how you choose to partake in the celebrations the underlying heart of the festival is the perseverance and the passion for craft beer.

With over 100 events and spanning over 8 days the hardest choices will be trying to fit everything in. Here are my top 5 choices.

Pint Of Origin: For the first time in SCBW history will you be able to let your taste buds sample beers from all over Australia without traveling outside of Sydney. Six awesome pubs will turn over their taps to beers and brewers from the six Aussie states. The six Sydney venues taking part and the states they will represent are the Forest Lodge Hotel (SA), Royal Albert Hotel (WA), The DOG Hotel (NSW & ACT), The Welcome Hotel (QLD), Empire Hotel Annandale (TAS) and Quarryman’s Hotel (VIC)

Marrickville Mystery Tour: Roll up roll up for the Marrickville Mystery Tour ($95) Dave’s Brewery Tours are waiting to take you away on a walking tour of the great inner west suburb of Marrickville including its breweries, eateries and history.

3 State IPA Meat 2016: For those who love their beer and meat there’s the 3 State IPA Meat 2016 ($90). Batch Brewing Company (NSW), Moon Dog Craft Brewery (VIC) and Pirate Life Brewing (SA) are joining forces to bring you an evening of big beers and juicy meat. There will be six courses of meat to be enjoyed as the brewers guide you through some of the hoppiest, booziest and tastiest IPA’s on offer.

Meat, Beer, Axe 2: For the adventure seeker out there or those whose middle name is “danger”, Then Meat, Beer, Axe 2 ($60) is the night for you. What better way to spend a Friday night then beer drinking, meat eating and a little axe throwing. Willie the Boatman knows how to party, teaming up with his neighbours Maniax Axe Throwing Centre, along with the cool cats from Bovine and Swine, this is an event not to be missed.

Official SCBW Hair Of The Dog Breakfast: To close out the week I highly suggest grabbing tickets to the Official SCBW Hair Of The Dog Breakfast ($60). (I already have mine.) Returning again to Rocks Brewing Co, get ready for six indulgent courses with six of the best craft beers. Both the brewers and chefs will be on hand to talk you through the degustation menu. This is a not to be missed event and is truly a highlight of the festival.

All events will lead up to the first ever Sydney Craft Beer Awards ($99) celebrating all the movers and shakers of the Sydney craft beer scene. Celebrating not only the beers and the brewers, but also those behind the craft beer scene who strive to keep the Sydney scene rich, vibrant and ever growing.
