Rainbowl nourishes you with a healthy Japanese inspired rainbow bowl to keep your stamina up during the Sydney World Pride celebrations ahead.

Launched by FISHBOWL from Friday 17 February in partnership with LGBTQIA+ mental health Mind Out, $1 from every ‘Rainbowl’ will be donated to the program.

FISHBOWL’s partnership with LGBTQIA+ Health Australia’s program Mind Out is a natural alignment that sparked from the idea of how to utilise FISHBOWL’s reach to change fast food, change the culture and show appreciation of their diverse community. This follows FISHBOWL often using their platform to share awareness of the importance of mental health, with the business having planned initiatives such as their annual Mental Health Day runs.

Mind Out has a mission to improve the mental health outcomes and reduce suicide and suicidal behaviours amongst LGBTQIA+ individuals and communities. They deliver national suicide prevention initiatives through developing professional resources, training and education, awareness, and programs for the mental health sector.

The Rainbowl ($14.90) will be bright and fun with the ingredients of the bowl corresponding to the colours of the rainbow flag with chicken or tofu, kale, carrot, radish, cabbage, roasted sesame dressing and wasabi peas.

“What better time to celebrate and show our love to our diverse range of team members, customers, and communities that we're a part of. The Rainbowl is an extension of that, we want our customers and team to feel proud, knowing that they can give back and directly support the LGBTQ+ community, through something as simple as their lunch and dinner” FISHBOWL co-founder Nicolas Pestalozzi noted.

The Rainbowl will also see FISHBOWL working directly with fabulous individuals in the community such as queer Sydney DJ, Troy Beman who will be creating an eclectic anthem mixtape. The mixtape will be played across all store locations and available on Spotify on 18 February.

“It started when I was a small child. My Nan would spin disco records. With a lot of research around the time of my queer awakening it started to make sense why this music meant so much. This music is an important part of queer culture and that's why we should celebrate it, this World Pride and forever always” Troy Beman shares that the mixtape is influenced by his fascination with dance music.

Aligning with FISHBOWL was an inevitable with Troy adding, “It’s fast, it’s healthy and its always right next door to the venues I’m playing at. If I’m not going to cook at least I’m powered by the goodness packed OG, with glass noodles and avocado.”

The partnership between FISHBOWL and Mind Out will be the first of many in their drive to change
the culture through healthy initiatives, mental health awareness and appreciation for their diverse
communities.
