Bondi Lageritas

Curly Lewis is launching a half-margy, half-beer hybrid, El Tequileno Lagerita, in time for
World Margarita Day on the 22 February. The Mexico-meets-Bondi fusion is inspired by the two most
requested drops on the Curly Lewis menu and will be exclusively available on tap at the Bondi beachside
brewery and bar.

The New El Tequileno Lagerita is made with a base of the Curly Lewis El Gringo Cerveza mixed with a
Tommy’s Margarita in collaboration with El Tequileno Tequila.

International Margarita Day will also kick off Curly Lewis’s Taco Nights, which will run every Thursday from 4pm, serving up two tacos for $10 and $15 Margys. Patrons can choose from cheeseburger tacos, salt +
pepper squid tacos, pulled pork tacos, and vegan wild mushroom tacos to pair with their Lagerita.

“We are constantly working on new beer releases at the tap room and love experimenting with brews that will make for refreshing beach-side drinking" explains Curly Lewis Co-Founder Oliver dos Remedios.

“Mexican-style lagers are having a moment, and the Tommy’s Margarita has become a fan-favourite across
bars across the country. Our El Tequileno Lagerita is the love child of the two and the ultimate beer for the
lively Bondi crowd.”

The new Lagerita arrives as Curly Lewis celebrates exciting changes to the venue experience, including a
new Head Chef and menu. Previously run by the team at Frank’s Deli, the Curly Lewis Kitchen is now helmed by French-born Charly Dupuy. Dupuy is no stranger to the Bondi food scene, having worked in the kitchens at Totti’s Bondi, Promenade Bondi, Bonditony’s Burger Joint, and Bibo Wine Bar.

Charly’s revamped menu at Curly Lewis features kingfish crudo finished with a splash of Yewzu and Salty
Mermaid Gose house-made beers; fresh burrata with chilli oil and dukkah; four new tacos; Hazy Ale battered
fish and chips; and a 300g Rangers Valley Black Onyx scotch fillet. Alongside the new menu will be a slew of
weekly specials, including ‘Dollar Wing Mondays’ and $15 Schnitty on Tuesdays and the famous $15 Sirloin
steak night on Wednesdays.

Curly Lewis is now also playing host to live music under its newly approved live music license, welcoming
local musicians every Thursday and Sunday to provide the soundtrack to those balmy Bondi evenings.
El Tequileno Lagerita will be available on tap from the 22nd of February at Curly Lewis, 102-106 Campbell
Parade, Bondi. The Curly Lewis 2-for-$10 taco deal will be available every Thursday from 4 pm. The El
Gringo Ceveza is available on tap at Ricos Tacos and Curly Lewis and by the can at a and a growing list of
local bottle stores and bars.
