Young Henrys Brewing Company is excited to announce a new distillery collaboration with U.S Soul & Rock sensations Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats. ‘NIGHTSWEAT’ Moonshine will be launched by the band at Young Henrys tasting bar in Newtown, Sydney on April 1st as an ultra limited release, coinciding with the bands first Australian tour.

Young Henrys are huge fans of Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats and their self-titled debut record a firm brewery favourite ever since it exploded onto the scene last year, aided in part to a killer performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to rave reviews. The chance to collaborate was not one they wanted to miss.

The concept for the moonshine harks back to the prohibition era of the 1920's, the American Midwest and Nathaniel's hometown state of Missouri. The Eighteenth Amendment to the United States constitution had effectively established the prohibition of all alcohol - making manufacturing, transport and sale of booze illegal. When dry times settled over Missouri, it opened the floodgates for a sea of bootlegged liquor. The Ball Mason jars used to bottle ‘NIGHTSWEAT’ are a nostalgic homage to that Missouri of yesteryear.

NIGHTSWEAT moonshine was 100% created and distilled locally at Young Henrys in Newtown, Sydney. The mash is made up of malt and rye with a hint of chocolate malt. The batch is then distilled three times to make a high purity spirit before blending back with water to reach 40% alcohol content.

"We have been playing around with different moonshine recipes for a while and this one was a clear favorite. Having the chance to link up and create this for such a great talent is a rare opportunity" says Young Henrys co-owner Richard Adamson on the collaboration.

‘NIGHTSWEAT’ will be available for limited release on 1st April via and selected local bars.

Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats debut album is OUT NOW via Stax/Caroline Australia, and performing at the METRO THEATRE Sydney on March 31st.
