10 Days of Wine, Food and Art from Mudgee to Pyrmont Festival

This Friday marks the beginning of the fifth annual Pyrmont Festiival + Mudgee Region Showcase. From 15 to 24 May, Pyrmont will play host to Mudgee’s best food, wine and art experiences, giving Sydney people the chance to delve into the charm of the country, within their own backyard.

The Mudgee Region has a range of vineyards that will be offering high-quality wines at the festival, including relative ‘newcomers’ Yeates Wines, Baker Williams Distillery, Short Sheep Micro Winery and Mudgee Ridge Wines, as well as old favourites including Burrundulla Vineyard, Robert Stein Vineyard, Lowe Wines and Huntington Estate. Mudgee Region is also home to an abundance of exotic Mediterranean wine varieties, including Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, Barbera and Tempranillo.

The festival headliner is a two-day outdoor Wine, Food and Art event with free entry* in Pirrama Park on the weekend of 16 and 17 May. Guests can meet the wine-makers and taste more than 150 wines, as well as sample a broad range of fine foods at more than 50 stalls.

And River Cottage Australia, host Paul West will join the Pyrmont Festival in Pirrama Park on Sunday 17 May to cook up a storm with Mudgee produce, courtesy of Subaru Australia.
