Sydneysiders, get ready as everything is about to be painted green with Irish pride for St Patrick’s Day!

You now face two choices: will you go to the annual Parade on the Sunday or save your pennies until Tuesday for the official St Patricks Day festivities? The answer is clear, do as the Irish do and celebrate all week!

The annual Parade will be held on Sunday the 15th and will weave its way through George Street, Park Street and Elizabeth to the Family Day festivities at North Hyde Park. The shamrocks, green hats, face paint and costumes will flow like a river through the city with lots of Irish entertainment to enjoy.

Despite the fact that St Patrick’s Day falls on a Tuesday this year, our Irish pubs are bringing out the traditional breakfasts and enough Guinness to make Ireland blush. It’s time to get out the few pieces of green clothing you own, throw it all on and get yourself to a pub for a pint of Guinness.

Let us tip our green hats to Ireland and celebrate...

with Bia Maith, Fion Maith, Ceol Maith (good food, good wine and good music)!
