Whether you're an American living in Australia or an Australian with a love of all things American, it's sad to think that Thanksgiving is a holiday which is often overlooked in Australia.

To give you a bit of taste from home, we've rounded up the top five places to celebrate Thanksgiving in Sydney!

Hard Rock Cafe Sydney, 26th November

Situated right on Darling Harbour, the Hard Rock Cafe has organised a wonderful meal (including dessert) for the thankful on Thanksgiving. Choose from traditional roast turkey with chestnut stuffing, giblet gravy, green beans and sweet potato rosette with cranberry sauce; Virginian leg ham slow-roasted Madeira honey-glazed leg ham with braised red cabbage, cilantro and garlic mash with blood orange sauce; Nut Roast with chestnut stuffing, vegetarian gravy, green beans and sweet potato rosette with cranberry sauce; or Pear & Walnut Salad- A blend of rocket, spinach and radicchio leaves, poached nashi pears, candied walnuts and golden raising with a drizzle of lemon oil and toasted brioche.

For dessert, you can choose the Traditional Pumpkin Pie served with whip cream & ice cream or the Apple Cobbler served warm with vanilla ice cream, topped with walnuts & caramel sauce.

And, the best part of all: show your US passport to get a free cocktail!
