The Eastern suburbs of Sydney have long been revered for their stunning coastal landscape and remarkable dining experiences but tucked further inland from the bustle of tourists is a beloved institution that has been revamped into a dazzling new venue.

The Ambry Restaurant & Bar has set a new standard for the local culinary scene, offering a delectable Italian-inspired menu including homestyle favourites such as the rustic lamb ragu pappardelle and fluffy tiramisu.  Located within the exquisite Waverley Greens, the Ambry has been brought to life by Blond Catering, a renowned name in the world of catering and fine dining. Despite the reputation, Director and Executive Chef Jesper Hansen has a vision. Whether you’re a local, visitor or here with friends or family, The Ambry is the place where you can stay as long as you wish with a menu and ambiance to cater for all.

Designed by Altis Architecture, why wouldn’t you stay a while when you have an open-plan interior filled with grandeur and picturesque views that overlook the pristine greens. The décor cleverly reflects the outdoors, with an earthy color palette accentuated by brightly colored tiles and industrial fittings. The result is an environment that is both inviting and visually striking, providing the perfect backdrop for an exquisite dining experience. It’s the perfect place to unwind with a relaxed afternoon drink or fuel up for an exciting game of lawn bowls on the greens. The impressive bar menu features an array of choices from your classic pints to a carefully curated selection of wines and cocktails.

However, it is the food menu that truly sets The Ambry apart. Head Chef Carlo Della Sala, a culinary artist with roots in the vibrant Amalfi coast and a heart in Italy, skillfully combines tradition and innovation in every dish. His approach showcases authentic Italian flavors, using only the finest Australian ingredients. The result is a tantalizing fusion of club classics and Italian-inspired delicacies, designed to please even the most discerning palates. Start with freshly baked focaccia and Sydney Rock Oysters before tucking into the aromatic seafood stew with a rich tomato and squid sauce and a very generous serving of prawns, mussels, and monkfish. The toasted sourdough for dipping is sourced locally from crowd favourite Iggy’s Bread in Bronte showing The Ambry’s commitment to local partnerships and high-quality ingredients. To top off this delightful meal, you must finish with the classic tiramisu. Lose yourself in the soft layers and harmonious blend of flavours from the richness of the mascarpone cheese to the bitterness of the coffee.  The Ambry menu combines the best of Australia and Italy on every plate and you can’t help but feel the passion and dedication of Head Chef Carlo shine through each dish.

Each visit to The Ambry promises to be an unforgettable experience, seamlessly blending sophistication, flavour, and atmosphere. Whether it's a romantic dinner, a festive celebration, or a casual night out with friends, The Ambry ensures a memorable dining journey that lingers long after the meal is over.
