Triple Shot

Triple shot, a new cafe by day, and bar by night, in Mortdale is the first shot at their own venue by three friends - Tom Rice, Jacob Rice, Jarrod Kitto.

The lads in their 20s are locals from neighbouring Penshurst. Two of them just happen to be brothers. And they're filling the cocktails gap in the local area.

Just six months in, Triple Shot has a back bar that will make any cocktail lover happy, with no big booze company contract and brimming with their personal choices of favourite spirits' brands. Their opening bar cocktail prices ($15 shaken, $16 stirred) made with their favourite spirits make it worth a train trip to this South West Sydney suburb even if your not a Mortdale local. Jarrod explained that he doesn't think you should have to pay extra for cocktails made with good brands.

Plans for the 2024 new year are to extend the current Friday night Saturday night bar offering, and add Sunday arvo live music in the courtyard, with another bar out back.

Until then, Tom, Jacob + Jarrod, offer up standard fare - done well. Mecca coffee. All day breakfasts. Some lunches. Some sandwiches. For the days. Classic cocktails + classy wines for the nights. And all served with their bubbly dispositions.

At 29A Morts Road, Mortdale (once was Grinders).
